I have another pair of TrekSta day hiker type of shoes and the quality of those prompted me to purchase these. I wasn't disappointed, the initial quality of materials, the look of them, and finally putting them on all resonate a well thought out, well engineered product. If you have watched their promo video about the differences in TrekSta shoes compared to others it is all true. The fit is superb, its like a shoe you have never have tried before, feels great, I immediately felt the difference in comfort compared to any other shoe I have worn and look forward to wearing these for a long time.

I watched the video and love the approach they take to making a quality-fitting shoe. I purchased these for walking in the city and light day-hiking trail use, hoping they would provide a firmness of support that I haven't found in other shoes. When they arrived and I tried them on, the feeling of support I was looking for was definitely there, and I was very excited to try them out. When I stood up, the craziest thing happened...my ankle bone on one foot was rubbing against the top rim of the shoe, and not just a little bit. As suggested by the TrekSta customer rep that I reached by phone, I tried wearing them inside the house, really hoping that the problem would work itself out after a bit of break-in, but it became clear these shoes and my ankle bone weren't on the same page - rats, I really love everything else about the fit. I'm hoping to find another TrekSta model that'll work.

I wear an 11.5 shoe. When I first put them on they felt a little too snug. I debated returning them. I am really glad I didn't. They fit perfectly now and I can even wear thick socks with then. A+ in terms of quality and comfort.
