Rayne Avenger Longboard Skateboard Deck Product Description:

  • Width- 10"
  • Features: Bamboo core, biaxial pre-tensioned fibreglass skins.

Product Description

The Avenger has a "Pleasure Dome" concave added to the already aggressive shape. The board is now smaller and lighter but has the same rigidity as previous models. The tighter platform makes quick maneuvering a dream - matched with the "dome" rider transition from stand-up speed checks to railing corners is mind blowing. Gone are the days of foot braking - wear out your wheels not your shoes!

What is the PLEASURE DOME? The PLEASURE DOME makes it easy for riders to master toe side corners, pre-drifts and slick stand-up slides by adding a second concave in the middle of the board! When engaged in sticky situations, this pleasure dome grips your toes where there is normally no concave. When in heel-side turns the pleasure dome ensures no foot slip.

Most companies offering W concaves include minimal board changes - they simply don't have the technology to press aggressive curves. Rayne has developed 3D pressing techniques that allow bamboo and fibreglass to mingle in harmony and give your feet the ergonomic support they deserve. The aggressive W inspired concave is big where you need it and minimal where you don't. Where don't you need it? When pushing!

The graphic was designed by Spanish artist Jee "humanflytattoo.com" and is inspired by his pet Wooly Mammoth and like Rayne it has a distain for anything that stands in its way.

5Great slider board.
By Manuel Mendias
Bought this board with Orangatang Stymulus and Paris 180's. I'm 49 and skated halfpipes when a teenager. Now I skate (small slopes) for fun and to keep in shape. I also own the Loaded Dervish, and love it for carving. The Rayne Avenger is great for sliding beacause of its smaller wheel base lenght and its not flexy like the Dervish. The pleasure dome on the board really helps griping my VANS shoes. The harder 86a Stymuls are also optimum for sliding. I don't do high speed rides because I don't want to risk breaking anything! I realy like the quality of the board.Skate safe!

By Jcbaker86
While I was deployed I purchased this watch and it was great. Did everything I expected and looks so cute! If you are a petite female it is perfect for your wrist and the band is comfortable.

2Great bag, questionable quality
By Prichard
I have been using these bags since I first bought one in Stockholm almost ten years ago. The design is great--they are very lightweight, comfortable with reasonable loads, and obviously classic looking. Unfortunately they are overpriced for what they are. I bought a new bag about a month ago and I'm not impressed with the durability. It seems like the prices have gone up a lot without any increase in manufacturing quality. For a small daypack that costs $75, you'd expect it to be something better made than a Wal-Mart item. But the fabric on the inside started fraying immediately and now a small hole has appeared on the bottom of the pack. I love these bags for their style and function, but I really feel a bit stupid for paying so much for a bag that look so beat up after only a month of use. I've never gotten a hole in any of my other backpacks, even ones I've use for multiday trips in the backcountry.Unfortunately these packs are now a fashion item, so Fjallraven can double the prices, send the manufacturing to the cheapest factories, and people will still buy them. Note that this $75 schoolchildren's backpack is made in Vietnam, not Sweden.

5Best Backpack Ever
By GVHD
I used to use messenger and tote bags before buying my Kanken, and it is probably the most resilient, well-designed, and downright greatest bag for carrying around my university campus. It's original and practical. Most backpacks have rounded tops, which I never found useful for anything, but the rectangular design on this is just right for books. Inside, there is a tall pocket in the back which is useful for little essentials like eyedrops, altoids, and toiletries you'd rather not have out in the open every time you open the bag. Retrieving items from inside is made exceptionally easy, partly due to the rectangular shape and the easy with which the front can be folded down. There's room for about three 1.5'' binders or two 1.5'' binders and one 14'' laptop. Outside, the front pocket offers enough room for a phone, wallet, and keys. The two pockets on the sides I often use for a small umbrella and a disposable water bottle. My favorite part is that the zippers are quality YKK zips and don't have or need the dangling tassels many backpacks have, which often fray or fall off anyway. The only real con is that the straps are not padded and easily chafe bare skin (but in terms of design, the thinness is nice and is less bulky than, say, Jansport Straps)...if you're in Europe, there are a lot of stores that sell padded straps as an accessory, though they're harder to find in the US. Also, if you're looking to carry more than one huge, heavy textbook, I don't recommend this since it's not especially large. It's not waterproof, only slightly water-resistant, and I would recommend buying wax to coat it on days with heavy rain; it can easily get soaked BUT it dries up relatively quickly, doesn't warp, and isn't prone to stains--from either wet or dry elements. I have never had to clean it and it's only slightly dirty on the bottom (my own fault) and have not yet needed to sew anything up for any reason. In terms of durability, the quality is really impeccable. I've owned mine for more than a year now, taken it to university, through crowded NYC public transportation, and on numerous vacations and the zippers and most of the seams are very much the same as when I bought it.All in all, I love this backpack and I've spent a lot of time looking at new backpacks for school only to end up wanting to get another Kanken in a different color.

3Stylish and unique, but not the most practical
By Alistair Crowley
Fjallraven is a Swedish outdoors apparel company, with the name meaning 'Arctic Fox' - hence the fox logo. When I saw the charming square shape and array of colors I knew I had to have one of these. I ended up ordering the peach pink which is shockingly bright in real life but just the way I like it. If you're used to backpacks with padded straps, padded interiors and lots of pockets - this bag it's not. The shell is a very durable material and I haven't tested its waterproofing abilities, but the shoulder straps are relatively thin but surprisingly secure. From years of grade school carrying of heavy backpacks and the like, my back can't take heavy weights so I judged that this 'moderately' sized bag would carry the necessary essentials but nothing like 2 or 3 heavy textbooks. I've managed to fit a 13" macbook pro inside an ample sleeve, a softcover textbook, a few notebooks, a wallet, a pencil case in the bag with a bit of room to spare. Contrary to another reviewer, because the bag unzips with the front coming down like a flap - it's not practical to stow away my laptop without having to push everything in front down with the flap. Top loading backpacks you can stow your laptop in between items but with this, I kind of have to shuffle everything to the front to make space and since it doesn't open from the top, push my laptop in a slight slant. Granted these aren't intended for laptops and there is NO padding whatsoever so if you plan on carrying a laptop, a sleeve is a must! The front pocket is handy for your cellphone, keys and other assorted smaller items like ID cards, etc. It's pretty handy! Two side winter bottle/umbrella pockets are also useful features. Visually, it's cute and has that school backpack look and it's definitely unique but it's definitely not suitable for heavy use with a large storage capacity if you're a college student - for my purposes, it's good enough aside a few inconveniences. The bonus is that the backpack was manufactured in an environmentally friendly way!
