5Awesome commuter pack
By K. Winter
This is my 2nd bike-commuting-specific backpack. My first was a Banjo Brothers Backpack which while waterproof was just bulky and awkward and had only a single large pocket. This pack is far superior to that pack and also to every other general backpack I've owned.Pros:Comfortable weight distribution - it packs more vertically than it does outwards which distributes the weight much more evenly when you are riding.Laptop section - I work in IT and am a grad student so I haul my laptop everywhere. Having a dedicated padding slot for it just makes things easier for mePockets - Main pocket holds laptop and lunch etc, but there is also a slightly smaller outer pocket that has slots for pens and a key fobLight clip - pretty standard on a cycling pack but I still love the featureRain Cover! - So awesome. I think it's much better than having an awkward waterproof pack. Just include the rain fly right in! And you don't even have to remember to bring it since it's built-in. It's been tested in plenty of storms I've ridden through and I've never had any problems.Cons:Hip straps are kinda cheap? But they do the job and are removable, so it's not even much of a conNo water/coffee pocket - I just use the Ulock pocket, but it's annoying they don't have oneThe pouches on the straps annoyed me at first, but now I use them for phone and keys and find it more of a 'pro' now than a 'con' - but I also don't care about looking cool so others may consider this more of a serious con. Conclusion:If you're looking for a quality pack for your commute, even a regular commute but especially if you're commuting by bicycle, this could be a wonderful pack for you. Unlike the previous reviewer I find it quite compact especially compared to other bike-commuter backpacks on the market. If you're used to a messenger bag or a non-commuting bicycle pack like a Camelback style, though, then it may seem bulkier.

5Better than expected
By April
I bought this backpack for a trip to Germany in the summer. The last backpack I took over there was not very good and I vowed to buy a better backpack for next time. First off, you can't go wrong with Osprey brand. I own a messenger bag, a hiking backpack and now this backpack I will use on my travels. I put my bags through a lot and they have never failed. It's a great investment. Now to the bag. Very sturdy material. It has more packets than expected. That means less time spent while searching for that thing you just put in your pack 5 minutes ago. There is lots of space in this bag. The pictures on here and the Osprey site really don't do this bag any justice. One of the main reasons I bought this bag was because it has a rain cover. This is a must if you carry cameras and camera accessories like I do. It folds up nice and out of the way. Another cool feature is the way the bag is designed. The few pockets on the outside of the bag are hard to see and actually look like the design of the bag. This means less chance of someone trying to steal something from your bag. I am very pleased with my purchase and I am excited to try it out in Germany and France. I gave it a few test runs at home and I am confident it will work to my advantage.

5Great bag, lots of pockets, very comfy for commuting
By breed
The cinch straps make it easy to compress the pack down on light days, but then give more room on days when I have to carry more stuff. Lots of nice-to-have features, like the helmet lasso, light mounts, and removable waist straps.

5Sweet!
By Dennis Coluccio
I own other Gransfors ax's but this little hatchet is my favorite. It is so well balanced that I can carve with it with much less wrist strain. Buy it just to look at it that's how beautiful it is.Dennis

5This is a real tool
By Bushnell
I am a woodcarver, and this finely made tool lived up to my expectation. This is not anything like a $29.99 hatchet. This is a sharp tool comparable to a fine wood carving chisel. This is a premium priced tool that is worth every penny. I recommend this short handled version as it provides for great ergonomic control of force; that is great for kindling, as well as roughing wood carvings. This will be my companion of any future trips camping in the woods.

5Old World quality you can hold and use today.
By Raderman1
Just picking this tiny mini hatchet up and holding it without a single swipe puts some of my bigger, "name brand" full size axes and bush tools to shame. Hand forged. Perfection personified in every way. Balance is perfect. Blade is beyond razor and this tiny almost weightless hand hatchet does jobs that other blades would choke on.I know times are tough but the rule "Buy nice or BUY TWICE!" applies here. Will never use another brand of axe or hatchet ever again. Goodbye Estwing, Goodbye Fiskars. Not that they don't get the job done but they're like the Toyota of the axe world. This thing, as pricey as it is, is a Rolls Royce or Lamborghini. It just feels good in my hand and I want to carry it with me everywhere but doubt the local law enforcement would appreciate my affection for a simple bush hatchet, so away it stays til my next back country trail. If you can afford it--take the plunge. Go and YouTube, take the tour of the factory in Sweden and watch what goes into these axes first and actually watch them make these things. Superbad! They stamp their initials on the axe head as a show of pride in their workmanship. I wish more domestic manufacturers were that good and told that much pride in their work.Worth every penny and I have my next 2 axes picked out for spring and summer to make matchsticks from huge dead tree trunks. You won't be sorry.

5Great Middleweight Pack
By Bike Commuter
Purchased the large, meteorite model pack for dayhiking, overnight hikes with shelters, and airplane travel. So far, it has worked well in every capacity.Strengths- Good distribution of weight between hips and shoulders when loaded.- Solid construction, feels as though it will last through the years.- The two loops for storing trekking poles are awesome, not a feature on my other packs.- Very breathable where the frame rest against your back, no major sweat buildup.- Size and shape is ideal for active hiking and scrambling, so no need to leave gear behind during side trips.Weakness- The cord lock for the drawstring that closes the top is a pain by design. All in all, a great pack for middleweight excursions at a great price compared to major stores. Someone with a full set of ultralight and tight packing gear might find it suitable for every occasion. Just be sure to buy for where you want to hike, as this bag is too small for my full tent setup, nor for hikes where it is necessary to carry 1-2 days worth of water.

4Great bag smaller than I thought
By JcTenn
I bought this bag a little naive on the cubic inch measurements. I thought it would be bigger. It is a great bag, just not the size I was looking for. I encourage you to go to a store and examine in person and then come to Amazon.
