Best shoe around!!!

This is the best shoe I have got in the last 4 years or so. I have tried many skate shoes from Vans, Osiris, and my favorite Adio. But none of those shoe company's make a decent looking shoe anymore. They are all designed to attract a very different crowd of people and look very much like a Nike skate shoe. I am an old skool skater from the late 90's early 2000's and I am sorry but Nike should not at all be in the extreme sports industry stick to the team sports! These shoes are very comfortable and durable. The are a very nicely desigined and appealing. They are exactly what a skate shoe should be. They come with 2 sets of laces (white and black) which you can use one as a back up or get creative and lace the shoe with both. They have the lace protective holes to use or the standard holes on the outside. It has a pocket on the tounge which for me is usless but is kind of a need feature added. The padding in the shoe can be removed to add either a different one or hide your laces if you lace it up so you do not have to tie your shoes. Great shoe would definately buy again if it is still avalible when I need another pair. DVS might be my new favorite shoe company.

Very good goggles! I would have given them 5 stars, but the lense is rose color when they dim in the sunlight. It is nice that they dim, but I do not like that everything looks red. If you don't mind this, then not an issue. You do get use to it after awhile, but if anything I was hoping for more of a light brown/tan than red. They also fit a bit on the small side. I typically wear medium size head gear and these fit, but tend to sit just on the edge of my eyes. Would not suggest if you have a bigger noggin.

Great hiking boots!

These boots feel amazing! I was a bit hesitant to order over the internet because it's so hard to know if the sizing is correct without trying them on first. But, I saw the review in Popular Science magazine that highly recommended these.So, I figured I could always send them back if needed and I took the plunge. These boots ROCK! The fit was right on, the support of the insoles are better than any boots I've ever tried -- and that is many as I am an avid hiker. These feel almost natural to the foot. They support, but without a lot of weight. THey also look great with a modern design.Next time I'm looking for boots this will be my first choice. I buy about one pair of hiking boots a year, so I'm always looking for ones that will be comfortable and rugged. These did the trick for me.

slipper comfort

Last year I purchased a pair of treSta evolutions and whilst they are very comfortable I think their sole is to soft for backpack ( I wear them to work most days) that why I purchased the Assault's. They are just what I expected same great fit( I have had problems in the past with walking boot fit) but just that bit stiffer in the sole. To break them in I wore them to work on a day when the temp was 36C in Melbourne. I expected them to get really hot because of the gortex lining. well forget that idea they were perfectly comfortable all day. I haven't yet had a chance to go backpacking in them but I expect them to perform flawlessly.The boot represent fantastic value and is not available in Australia.could not be happier

extraordinary boot but not for very wide feet

I hike 300 days a year, and this is the most impressive boot I've yet encountered. It supports my foot like no other boot I've worn. I would loved to have kept it but the Assault is a little too narrow and too shallow (top to bottom, front of the boot) for my wide foot. Many reviews on this site and TrekSta's site report that the unique contour of the boot works for many people with wide feet: I'm sure it does, it just doesn't work for mine. I would describe the Assault's 'last' as EE -- meaning wide. If you need extra wide, this boot is just a hair too small. And really, what would you expect from a boot that advertises itself as a "D"?When TrekSta begins producing an extra wide boot, I'll be the first avid walker in line -- and order two pairs straight away.
