Eh... Worth what I paid on gold box deal

This watch showed up and I was very excited. Once I looked at it though, it was a different story. I was suppose to give it as a gift, but I am thinking that if I ended up giving to the recipient that they would just toss it into their junk jewelery drawer. The diamonds are mini chips that barely show up, the box is fine, but excessive and there is no way in Hades that this watch is worth near what the "retail value" is suppose to be. I got this on a gold box deal, and I pretty much paid what it was worth, so not really much of a deal in the end. I might end up giving this to one of my teen nieces for a first piece of jewelery.

I bought this watch as a lightning deal. When it arrived in the mail I was suprised by how heavy it is. I typically wear Fossil watches and they are about 1/2 the weight of this one. I also had to take the watch to a jeweler to be sized-it was so large they had to take out four of the 'links'.The watch really is beautiful. I could not see the mother of pearl very well in the picture. When the watch arrived I was really pleased by how pretty (and visible) the mother of pearl is. I know there are supposed to be diamonds in this watch, but they are so tiny I can barely see them. I did not spend $70 on a watch and expect it to be dripping in diamonds though!

Just received this watch today. It was a lightning deal. Beautiful watch, but it took me 30 minutes to figure out the clasp - duh. Never seen that type before. It's way too big, so off to the jeweler's I go.

Great watch so far...

Watch arrived today and it looks and feels amazing. I was a little concerned about ordering an Invicta from Amazon based on customers reviews of other Invicta models available for purchase. At least 30% of the reviews I read from other models complained about broken parts, receiving different watches then what is pictured, and watches labeled "Swiss Movement or MVT"(Chinese rip-off) as apposed to the genuine "Swiss Made" movement. But in all honestly they could label it whatever they want and I wont know the difference until it breaks down. So far though the watch looks and functions perfectly.The watch has a VERY LARGE face so please understand that before you order. It is also a VERY THICK watch, it raises 2 inches off my wrist. I knew all this before I ordered it so I am very pleased. But if you weigh less than 200lbs and have thin wrists you will look like a clown wearing it. This thing can also double as a self defense weapon, if you get in trouble just take it off and beat your assailant with it, its sure heavy enough.The only negative aspect I can find is when I opened the box the watch was actually running! This is a huge mistake because I dont know how long it has been running so the battery might die in the next 15 minutes or 2 years from now. Most diving watches are pressurized to prevent water from seeping in, so when you replace the battery you need to send it off to be re-pressurized for a fee and its not cheap. It also makes me wonder if it was purchased and then returned for a reason I cant see.Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat. This watch retails for $995.99 and I got it at a fraction of the price. (The day after I ordered it, amazon raised the price by $50) I'm sure its worth much less than that, but the price I paid is on par for a genuine Swiss made movement. Throw in the fact that if you order the watch from Amazon you get upgraded to the Invicta Platinum 5 year warranty for FREE! ($40 value). Just make sure you register it on Invicta website within 30 days of purchase. The only thing that is left is to see how long the watch will function. I will update my review if it turns out to be a low-quality item that breaks down after a few months, but as of right now I feel fine recommending this time piece to my friends and family. I am a avid watch collector so this will fit nicely in my collection
