Excellent Facial Scrub

After reading about the ingredients of Giovanni's facial scrub, I decided to buy it to see how it compares with Murad's facial scrub. I only use this twice a week, maybe three because it isn't necessary to use scrubs on your face on a daily basis. With Giovanni's scrub, it doesn't even feel like a scrub but yet does the job and you can actually feel smoother skin and I even saw the pores on my nose and sides of my nose smaller. Also helps to dislodge those tiny little black marks that collect in the pores on the outside of the nostril area of your nose. You don't have to use a lot and price-wise, it is much more economical than Murad's scrub. Really makes your face so nice and smooth that just a cleaning doesn't always produce. If you like scrubs, I would strong urge you to buy this and try it. A little goes a long way too.

My new favorite scrub

I love this product line. Love it.I typically use a non-natural product line, and have avoided natural products in the past few years because those I tried in the past either did nothing for me or, worse, caused breakouts. I recently went through a traumatic period of intense breakouts that became the gift that kept on giving. I got to a certain point in the healing process and hit a wall. I simply could not get over that last obstacle to clear skin. I was using the body bar in the shower and decided one day out of panic/frustration to try it on my face. Lo and behold, the stuff started to help! My inflammation reduced by the time I toweled off, my itchiness subsided, and by bedtime the redness was starting to reduce, Since I have dry skin, however, the body bar was just not the right call for my face. I picked up the cleanser, this scrub, and the face lotion. It's been a week (only a week!) and my skin is *just* about back to its normal, clear, can-get-by-with-a-tinted-moisturizer self. Lately, I've been going through concealer like crazy. This week, I've barely had to use any. It's blissful!This scrub is a real scrub. Nothing annoys me more in skincare than a so-called scrub that doesn't actually slough off dead skin. I have dry skin, and I need a powerful scrub. The best thing about this is that it does a powerful job, but it also feels really gentle. The exfoliating properties are very fine, but very abrasive. Somehow, it manages to be both effective and yet gentle enough not to irritate my skin.I do not, however, follow directions. I don't use the face wash and then the scrub. On mornings when I use the scrub, I get right to it. I have an excellent cleansing ritual before bed, so I don't see the need to wash and then scrub at the same time.If you have problem skin, and everything you're trying isn't working, this is really worth a go. It's inexpensive compared to other charcoal cleaner sets.Also, seriously, I am not someone who believes the hype of beauty products. Don't get me wrong, I love my products. I get suckered into trying stuff all the time, but I don't buy into dramatic results or instant changes. I rarely find that a serum or cream lives up to the outlandish claims on the box. I don't typically dab on eye cream and suddenly think look 21 again. I don't think any mascara has ever confused people into thinking I stuck on false lashes. However, honestly, I saw immediate results with this product. I had immediate relief. A week ago, I was embarrassed to leave my house, even after plastering on half my makeup collection. Today, I ran errands bare-faced without thinking twice about it.In my opinion, this is worth tons more than I paid. I cannot believe my good fortune--a product that healed my skin, and is affordable to boot. What a score!
