Great product but bit pricey

The packaging was great except for the side stand/ foot which were shabbily inserted into the box.The glidetrack is an excellent piece of equipment. The carriage movement is very smooth and the build quality overall is industrial. Does not look cheap at all. The manfrotto fluid video head fits perfectly fine.For this product the price I think is bit on the high side, but once you have purchased it and started using it, you will like it. Atleast it's cheaper than buying a full fledged track and dolly.The only reason I took away the last star and gave it 4 star is because the carriage keeps sliding back and forth while carrying the tracking. Now i know I can remove it but once removed I had a lil dificulty in inserting back into the track because the carriage won't go inside and once inside it wasn't movign smoothly. also once it slide down the track and hit the ground firmly (not heavily) and the smoothness was gone. But reading the manual helps and they say how you can get back the smoothness. I wish they had a stopper/brake kind of stuff where I could hold it in any sliding position when the track is in inclined position

Dog loves it

I put this in the wall of my house in about an hour with the help of my friend. It looks like a professional did it. My dog learned how to use it by himself in a couple of days and now he has free reign of the house and to get outside. He loves it.

Overpriced

The following is a combination of opinion and some factual matter.The telescoping sections don't meet in the outside wall of my house which uses 2" x 6" (actually 1.5" x 5.5") studs.The molded plastic which appears to be ABS is a bit thin. The outside section broke away from the house in -40 degree weather. I have a "dog house" built onto the outside of my house which is open on both ends with a plastic strip door on the outboard end and this pet door on the inboard end to keep windsout. This door replaced an older brand that was actually larger than this door and I only have a couple of Border Collie mixes from a shelter. I'm not sure if larger dogs would be happy with this product. Shelter dogs are the best.The good news is there are two clear flexible flaps - one on each of the two telescoping sections to provide additional weather protection. On several occasions the magnets on the two flaps stuck to each other rather than returning to there home positions, thereby holding the door open allowing wind to enter the house. This may have something to due with the size of my dogs, the speed at which they use the door and temperature which can affect flap flexibilty.This is a real nice $69.95 item. As a business owner, I'm all in favor of profits for all involved in the product. This item seems to have plenty.

Poor life span.

After 2 years of light use, the flaps failed. Flaps are about $50 each.This is a warm climate, older dog.
