Tissot Veloci-T Automatic
By M. Hoffman
I've had the watch for a few days now; so I would like to add some comments about my purchase. For starters I am neither a watch snob, nor a watch aficianado. This is the most I have ever spent on a watch; but I must say I feel like I got my money's worth.I really liked the watch upon first seeing it on Amazon. I liked the sporty look at first glance. Went to a couple of "authorized" brick and mortar stores to see it in person. But the store price was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than Amazon...about $300 more. So, to start, the look of the watch is my favorite part. The rubber band is very simple, yet seems very sturdy and durable. I like that the band is plain, rather that having some gaudy logo on it (like on some of the Tags). As mentioned in other posts, you will have to cut the band to fit, unless it just happens to fit out of the box. Personally, i think making the cut is very easy. a sharp pair of scissors are all that's needed. There is also a micro adjust to get it just right. The clasp feels well made. Simple, yet solid and functional. The letter T is stamped on the clasp...a nice touch I think. The watch has a nice size. Big but not too big. It feels masculine and heavy. The build quality is quite solid. The case is thick at 15mm.The face is simple and functional. Very stylish and sporty. The movement is smooth, and the window on the back lets you see it in action. The Chronograph works as it should. The button to reset the chrono seems a bit heavy. Seems to take a little more pressure than normal. But not a huge deal for me. It still works and functions perfectly.I am a bit disappointed with the "luminous" hands. Actually, the near absence of luminescence is the real disappointment for me. The glow is so dim, that it is nearly impossible to see. Again, not a huge deal for me, as I'm not looking at my watch in the dark very often. In conclusion I feel this watch is at a reasonable price point. To find a quality Swiss automatic Chronograph for less than $600 is very nice, despite some of the misgivings I just mentioned. That's cheaper than a "quartz" Tag F1. And I believe this watch to be of equal or better quality than the Tags in this price range. And this is automatic...no batteries to mess with. Ever.

I expected much more...
By sect404
I was pleased with the design, case size and movement of this watch when recieving it.But...I expected alot more from this prestigious Swiss watch brand. I found myself being EXTREMELY disapointed in the luminosity used on the hands and hour markers which was practically non existent making the watch unreadable in low light to extremely dark conditions. The rubber strap requires you to cut it down to size and with only a couple of micro-adjustments on the clasp it leaves no room for minor swelling or weight fluctuations.

Picture doesn't do the watch justice
By Automatics Only
I had this watch on my wish list for over six months. Don't know too much about watches, but I knew what I wanted. I spent hours on hours of research trying to specify all of the things I thought were important: Swiss made, 42 mm face, automatic, chrono, sapphire crystal, etc. As it turns out, all of things I thought were important are still important features, but what really stands out is EVERYTHING else. This watch is classy, sporty and sharp all in one. Looks manly, but not too aggressive. You can feel the quality when setting the time or running the chrono feature. The movement is smooth, solid and effortless. The watch has some weight, but the light band fits snug enough that it doesn't roll on the wrist and the weight isn't even noticeable. I ended up cutting the rubber myself because I was so excited and it turned out to be super easy with a sharp knife. The lume could be better, but it's good enough for a peek at the time in dark or low light. Oh and one more thing, the picture does not do the watch justice. The black is a deep black and the brushed metal directs your gaze to the chrome on the dial face where it should be. I wear this watch all day, every day.
