i so wanted to love this product - but it smells like cod liver oil :-( hard to stand most nights.... would never wear it out of the house.

Disappointed

I read all the hype on this product and heard about it on TV and believed every word of it, for some reason. I used it for months and could never tell any difference. However, I am getting older, so maybe nothing will help.

Very expensive but very good

I really like this product because it sinks in immediately and is light and refreshing feeling. It also seems to leave my face actually looking somewhat better when I use it regularly (I'll admit this is a subjective judgement, but I'm comparing it to how my face feels when I use other products). Does it smell bad? That, obviously, is a personal opinion. It does have a somewhat fishy smell when you first apply it, as do most Perricone products, but it's definitely not horrible, and it goes away in a few minutes. The Perricone people explain the smell as a result of not using any scents or other agents to cover up the smell of the ingredients, which include such things as omega-fatty acids from fish oil. Many products smell good or bad (personal opinion) due to perfumes and other agents added to make it smell a certain way. Some people are allergic to such things, and some of the scents are unpleasant even though they're meant to smell good. Everybody's different. I personally count the smell of Cold Plasma as a very minor thing, greatly outweighed by how it feels and what it does. And anyway, it goes away almost immediately.The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because of the price. It helps that a little goes a long way, and two ounces lasts a long time.I wish that Dr. Perricone would explain the name. It annoys me for something to have a name that implies either certain ingredients or certain processes in its manufacturing, and then not explain it.
