A very well designed step ladder for safety and ease of use
By Jessie Adair
I needed a step ladder for daily use in my kitchen and I'm very pleased with this one by Polder (I prefer it over the highly rated Werner 150B -- which has been relegated to my basement storage area, which I seldom use). The two key features that are a real improvement over the Werner step ladder is that this one opens and closes effortlessly with one fluid motion and has a long handle to help keep you steady and secure while precariously perched two or more feet off the ground. If you'll be using a step ladder frequently and worry about losing your balance and falling without a long handle to hold onto should you need one, than this Polder step ladder is worth the extra money for this safety feature alone.

Unique high hand rail but very poor base grip molding
By H. Le
I bought this ladder for my pregnant wife to use in the kitchen to reach for items located very high in the ceiling cabinets as it was the only model I could find that had a high arch hand rail, which would aid in stability while standing on the top step. However, I was greatly disappointed that the black base grip molding was made of a hard (cheap) plastic, rather than a soft rubber base for gripping surfaces. As our kitchen (like most kitchens) is tiled, the ladder slides around like skates on ice when touched--which makes the high arch hand rail rather meaningless since you would more likely fall from the unstable floor grip of the ladder...I wish they would replace this base grip or at least include alternative base grips for users to change out depending on where the uses are. Other than that, I find the ladder very well made, light and pretty compact for its size.

Just What I Needed
By Robert E. Yost
I am an elderly woman. I needed more than a 2-step "stool" to reach the high cupboards. My old ladder is heavy. This is just the right height. It is very light, and I appreciate the safety the handle provides.
