5Love it!
By M. Tangelder
We absolutely love this fireplace. It is very modern, yet traditional. We have a smaller family room and did not want to be blasted out of the room by a gas fireplace. This is just perfect. It throws just enough heat to warm things up. I love that I can run it flame only, also. It was very easy to flush mount in our existing wall. We did hire a friend to help with the installation, especially the electrical wiring.

5Great electric fireplace
By Brent J Stichka
We saw this fireplace at a neighbor's house while looking for an electric fireplace for our home. We liked the look and the fact the blower for the heater directed the heat horizontally versus vertically. For an electric fireplace the flames are about as realistic as you can get; not quite as natural as a gas flame but close enough. We like it and it adds a nice touch to our family room.

3Attractive for sure - a good value: debatable
By savvyseacrest
I saw this fireplace in a house for sale featured on the New York Times and had to have it, and now I do.I bought it with a best offer on eBay for $900 shipped. My boyfriend thought that was *rhymes with started.*It is gorgeous. It doesn't stick out of the wall too far (while an in-wall mounting would be preferable - I settled for on the wall). I love looking at it.As for functionality, I appreciate that in the summer, I will be able to run this fireplace for show, but without heat. As for the heater part... My apartment building is old, and poorly maintained, and therefore not energy efficient, which is why I needed some sort of space heater, and opted for this one. That said, I'm grateful it hasn't been too cold in Boston yet... When it does get colder (like tomorrow), I'm worried that this thing just isn't going to cut it. My room is 12'x18' with a 13' ceiling. The loft bed in my room does benefit from the heat being 8' up, but the lower level doesn't quite benefit enough. I see no reason to run it on low heat - always high.I don't understand why you either have to switch to remote or manual, but can't do both... But I really like having a remote. Conclusion: good for show, less so for heat (very glad I didn't pay full price - which, while searching for this one at a more affordable price, seems to average $1,400 new).

3Great phone - but buyer beware!
By Freviewer
This phone is surprisingly pretty, small and smooth to operate. The ergonomics are really good and the set of features hard to beat for the money (android, 3G, wifi, bluetooth, ...).Everything would be great if we had managed to get it working on a T-Mobile network data plan; despite spending hours on the phone with technicians to configure it, we couldn't get it to access the web; we called LG who also couldn't help as this is "not a US phone". Buyer beware!!Too bad as this is really a great phone at an attractive price.

5Great Phone for the price! No 3G access in the US.
By T. Jackson
As far as the phone itself goes. It's great! It's no Samsung Galaxy or HTC EVO , or whatever high end smartphone you want to name... But it is a great little phone for the price tag. It was received in a non sealed box ( inside the sealed shipping package of course ) . The battery was fully charged ( not in phone ) and the phone already has Android OS 2.1 installed on it. Leading me to believe that it's perhaps refurbished or "pre-prepared" as you can get these phones like that at some retail stores... But none the less, the phone is scratch free complete with protective film on front back and edges. The phone is quick and lag free even after i loaded it up with apps. I have no complains on the performance of this phone.** I knew this going in.. but some of you may not have done your research. So let me shed some insight on using this phone in the US. **You have 2 GSM providers to choose from in the US T-Mobile and AT&T ( all other GSM providers you might find in the US are piggybacking off of the AT&T or T-Mobile network and use the same 3G frequencies ) - Both of these providers are using dual bands for their 3g UTMS frequencies : AT&T uses 850Mhz / 1900Mhz - and T-Mobile uses 900Mhz / 2100mhz . This Phone does support these frequencies , but only the BASIC GSM frequencies . But when you are talking 3g signals, Your unlocked phone needs to have support for both frequencies as UTMS that your US GMS provider requires in order to pick up their 3g signal. And you can see that this phone only supports UTMS 900/2100 dual. So getting a 3g signal in the US on this phone is simply impossible. You'll be stuck on 2G/EDGEHOWEVER..... What this phone is great for , is 3G connection on almost every other continent except for North America. In Europe and Asia this phone will grab a 3g signal the moment you land in the country ( provided you have an active SIM from that country) . Reason being is because most countries outside of US, Canada and Mexico all have a single UTMS frequency for their 3G.. which is 2100Mhz ... So Therefore this is a great phone to use while traveling abroad, if you're concerned about getting a 3G connection while your in Japan on vacation for example.

I ordered this new phone, but received the open Box and the battery was already installed in the phone. Informed the seller right away about this. But seller assured me that this is a brand new phone. Now within a week phone is DEAD. There is No Power. I wish I can get my money back.

Product Description

The Revolutionary Anviz L100 Fingerprint Door Lock is a single latch door lock with fingerprint authentication technology. Authorized users can easily open the lock with the touch of a finger. This amazing product replaces keyed locking mechanisms with a fingerprint sensor which recognizes who is who and who is not authorized to enter. The Anviz L100 fingerprint door lock also comes standard with an RFID Key-tag entry system in which a user is provided with a unique programmable RFID badge or key-tag. To open the lock, the user passes the RFID badge or key-tag near the lock, and the lock opens instantly. 1Inferior construction!
By MV=PQ
I have never written a product review before, but I felt it necessary in this case. We purchased this lock as a method to secure a room in our house from our children. During installation, one of the posts that the screws attach to broke clean off. I have never had anything like this happen before - and I thought maybe I somehow just over-torqued it.So I took the lock apart, tapped the actual plate and reassembled it with new, longer screws. Once I had it back together it worked exactly ONCE before the spindle between the two handles snapped. I still cannot figure out for the life of me why someone would make the spindle out of two pieces tacked together?? The "weld" - if you could even call it that - is obviously a weak point. It would do no good to return the lock because I had already drilled the door. Besides, it was simply a design/quality of construction issue. So I was not confident that the next one they sent would be any better. So I fashioned a new (one piece) spindle out of 5/16" steel key stock. I will say this: after my 2 repairs and several hours of labor, the lock does seem to be working well. But I expect MUCH better quality out of a lock at this price point.

3Great value for a very nice product, with some down falls
By airus
No doubt that $200 for such lock is definitely a bargain. The over all design had showcased this lock wonderfully. I love it ! However, it does have some down falls that I do need to mention. The shell of the lock is great, look and feel like higher end material, however, the screws that came with it is a different story. Multiple screws had became bald after normal hand tightening with a screwdriver. The screw are too long for standard doors. In addition, the response time from the reader is taking too longer authenticate users (comparing with my other/older/cheaper biometric lock).Don't get me wrong, this is a great lock that have great functions. What I adore most is the RFID key card, works like a chrome. I will give this product a three+half stars for the above reasons.----------------- Update July 3rd 2012 -----------------Ordered another one. Like I said on my earlier review, it's definitely a bargain for a wonderful lock like this. Again, I'll have to say that the screws that came with it is pretty bad (same as the first order). During installation, again, the screws had became bald = (Over all, the lock works great.

4ANVIZ L100 Fingerprint Biometric Door Look
By tNiZzLE
Product was nice, everything was all there except the fact that it didn't come with the actual RFID Card as shown on picture but instead a circular grey tag of some sort and I even went on ANVIZ website, which they do have 2 websites, and I cross reference them and confirm that it should have came with a CARD TAG. Not only that, the company is based in Florida but mines was shipped from Canada??? So it got me questioning if these are the real deal or a counterfeit because of the back cover where you install the battery, it should have an engraved ANVIZ name on it but mines didn't. Installation was easy and simple, slight modification to the door would be basically drilling 2 holes using their template that comes with it... I was pleased but at the same time was slightly disappointed. I actually thought it would come in with the black display door with the door handle already installed to show the public how it would look like unless it was displayed for marketing purposes.. So overall this product is questionable just the fact it was shipped in a regular brown box that doesn't even say ANVIZ on it but instead shows a picture of the door handle and the fact it was shipped from Canada but the company is based in Florida??? Weird..

Product Description

Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab is Samsung's move onto the tablet warfield and luckily we are right here in the battle fray to give you first-hand scoop from the announcement event. Some might argue that it's rather a step down from laptops but the Samsung Galaxy Tab smartphone DNA is obvious from the moment you touch it. The 7-inch Android tablet has full phone functionality and the only thing that separates it from being called an insanely oversized cell phone is the fact that you cannot make phone calls by holding it next to your ear. The rest of the specs sheet looks like it belongs to a cell phone if you don't mind the oversized screen.

5Great!
By millinz
This product is exactly what I needed to help run my business. I can do things on the fly while taking phone calls & texts. This is truly a one of a kind device. Not sure why US carriers made it so that it was not able to make phone calls. This thing gets ATT 4G...I am happy. Blazing fast internet, great apps....hands down one of the best items I have owned (I am an iPhone lover...but those are not good for biz).

It can be phone and tablet. Bluetooth connection never drop and it is good. Use it for almost year and never go down on me. Battery life is good. You can have talking for 6 hours, open WiFi and bluetooth connection and only charge once a day. The only thing not so good is size, but it is good for tablet. 5Pediped Boots
By Fish-r-Fun
I bought these boots for my daughter for Christmas. These are her first pair of Pediped boots. She has always worn Pediped shoes. She loves, loves, loves her Pedipeds! These boots are casual and work well with dresses and pants. The boots tend to run small, so I ordered the next size up, and with the extra inserts that Pediped gives with their shoes, she is able to wear them comfortably with socks. I'm glad I bought the larger size because she will have extened use of the boots even after a growth spurt. All I have to do is remove the extra insert and she will be able to wear them longer. I definately recommend Pediped shoes, sandals and boots to all parents. (In my experience with Pediped...their shoes run true to size, sandals run large, and boots run small. Pediped does offer a printable sizing chart.)

4Runs small

My child is in a size 5 in everything else so I ordered a 6 - 6.5 and they are snug. Guess I should have jumped up to 7. The boots are very cute and would probably last long if you get the right size.

5Stylish, cozy rain boots
By City Mama
These boots took my 2.5-year-old daughter through the cold, wet winter & spring months and kept on going. They're also easy to get on and off so my daughter was always happy to wear them. Unlike plastic rain boots or heavy snow boots, these lightweight boots kept her feet dry and warm while providing sure-footed soles and support for the inevitable gallops through puddles and slush. And of course they're pretty groovy, too, so always generated a lot of compliments.

5My first netbook, and it's a great one!
By Computerdude1032
For the past few years, I've been using a Macbook pro as my main 'laptop'. I'm going to be abroad for a month, so I decided I wanted to buy a nice little netbook that would be both more portable than the MacBook and also a lot cheaper in case it were to get stolen, lost, or damaged. After doing quite a bit of research (via Amazon reviews), I finally decided that this was my best choice. It was released in October 2010, so at the moment it is the newest netbook I could find for sale on Amazon. For the price, it's great! Most other netbooks with the Intel N550 dual core processor are going for closer to four-hundred!As for the unit itself, it's my first netbook so I was really pleasantly surprised by how small and light it was. If you've owned a netbook before, it's probably the same size/weight as what you're used to. Overall, the keyboard is great. It's not as great as the backlit full-size keyboard on my MacBook, but it's better than I expected, and my fingers are having no problems finding the right keys. Windows 7 starter is really all I'll be needing for my needs, but I could definitely see where many people would want to upgrade (starter doesn't even let you change your desktop background, what the heck!?)For those of you looking to stay on a budget, I am using the unit as it comes from the manufacturer. I did not upgrade the RAM. In my opinion, the computer actually does run pretty fast even with only 1GB of RAM. I wouldn't expect to run a large program like photoshop, but for what most people will use the computer for, it's screaming fast, assuming you take an hour or so to un-install EVERYTHING they've included (you can safely uninstall anything "acer" even if it sounds important, Windows can function on it's own without it, trust me). The 6-cell battery is great, I've been browsing the web for 6 hours on my first full charge, and Windows claims I still have 55 minutes left- that's actually pretty close to the rated value of 8-hours!If you have any specific questions about this netbook, feel free to leave a comment on the review and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I'll try to update this review if anything changes, and again in a few months if I see a newer or better model available.UPDATE 12/21/10:Since I posted this review I've gotten a lot of questions in the comments. I'm gad to keep answering them, but there are some that I've gotten a bunch of times so I'm going to post them here...Q: How do I install Microsoft Office (or anything requiring a CD) when the netbook has no CD drive?A: Yes, no optical drive means no CD drive, and yes that's commonplace in ann netbooks. There are a couple ways to get around this problem. For me, the easiest is to buy your software digitally and download it. If you want to install software you've already purchased, I'd suggest downloading a trial version from the manufacturer and using your already purchased CD-key to activate the software. This works, is legal, and is easier than other methods (in my opinion).Q: What version of office is pre-installed?A: Office starter 2010. It's not something you can buy or download, but it's something that a manufacturer can elect to install in the factory for free. It gives you full (ok 'basically full') versions of word and excel 2010. If you need powerpoint you'll have to pay.Q: Can I install more RAM?A: I'm don't think so, but this has been answered two ways by different people. Yes, you CAN install a second gig, but I've heard that Windows 7 starter will only accept 1GB, so you'd have to spend at least $80 to upgrade your OS. Secondly as I said in the review 1GB ram works perfectly on this machine. Typically I'm a RAM freak (my desktop has 8GB ddr3 ram), but in this case, seriously, 1gb is fine. Any more and you'll still be held back by the processor.

5Best Netbook Yet, Short of the New Macbook Air 11.6"
By MWebb
Heads up (1-23-11 edit): This new Acer is probably going to be a much better performer for video. Acer Aspire One AO522-BZ897 10.1-Inch HD Netbook (Diamond Black). Preliminary benchmarks show 90% of the CPU (central processor) performance of the dual core Atom in this Aspire One AOD255 despite the slower clock speed, but MUCH better graphics due to a MUCH more advanced built-in graphics chip. Be sure to compare reviews on the new Aspire 522 before making a decision! (Google "AMD C-50 processor review".) The rest of the original review, below, remains unchanged:I've been a big fan of netbooks since I first got one a couple of years back. What a liberating feeling to be able to carry a really small, really useful computer along on a vacation or light business trip (computer used for recreation, not work). While I prefer an 11.6" screen, which won't cut off the bottom of some poorly designed web pages (I had a dickens of a time trying to sign up the first time on a new installation of iTunes, it has the necessary check boxes out of reach on the bottom of the page with no scroll options), it seems there is an impasse between netbook manufacturers and Intel and Microsoft - in a nutshell, Intel will sell Atom processors pretty cheap and MS will sell Win 7 Starter (plenty serviceable) really cheap but ONLY if the set up is limited to 1gb of RAM and 10.1" of screen. At least the makers of these devices have crept the hard disk size up from 160 gb to 250 gb (for the most part). This Acer has a glossy screen with brighter colors and contrast than my HP Mini 210, a better keyboard layout (dedicated Page Up/Page down buttons for a starter), and most importantly, Acer has been an early adopter of the recently released DUAL CORE Atom which is heads above the basic single core Atom.I always thought the original Atom single core processors were "fast enough" but the Dual Core N550 in this model is REALLY zippy. Not that it makes much difference for web browsing (although sites that use a lot of Flash are notoriously processor intensive), but it helps with other computer chores (like hard disk housekeeping, transferring files to an external hard drive, multi-tasking, keeping many browser windows open, etc.).Given the approximately 50 dollar price premium for the N550 (in many cases compared to other makers more like a 30 dollar premium) it makes no sense to get the old single core N450/N455/N470/N475 Atoms). So what is the netbook good for:1. Web browsing, but not streaming video watching. Reading the NY Times on line. Shopping. Email. Blogging. Facebook.2. Watching ripped or otherwise stored video content - a DVD via an external player, legally converted DVD content owned by you. No problem full screen at DVD resolution levels.3. Watching Hulu online with the browser - not the Hulu content window - full screen. Other reviewers have reported running Hulu full screen but I can't get stutter free playback full screen, and I am not running other applications except Microsoft Security Essentials (free and rated to have a very low background processor load). (Essentially this means I can actually watch Hulu in the Plus edition sharper on my iPod Touch than on this netbook, LOL.)4. Ripping your CD's to the internal hard disk, if you have an external reader (as low as 12 bucks for CD only, 30-45 for DVD play and dual level burn capability). A little slow compared to a desktop, but hey, read a book or watch TV while you shove 'em in and out.5. Word processing.and, most importantly for the traveler (esp. the out of country traveler),6. Skype'ing home, using a regular set of music earphones and the built-in speaker.Note that this netbook does NOT include Bluetooth. I have never used Bluetooth with a netbook, but the thought of using it to walk around my hotel room instead of being tethered by the netbook is kind of appealing. (You can always add Bluetooth for about 12 bucks with a micro dongle: IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter GBU421 ).The built-in speakers (or single speaker? can't tell) are pretty good and the sound comes out of a full-width grill just under the front of the keyboard.I can offer some recommendations for your set up should you choose to get this Acer:A. You don't need any accessories except maybe one of those zippered, semi-snug fitting, Neoprene cases. Shop here at Amazon or visit Target but don't pay more than 10-20 for one. This one on Amazon looks good Belkin F8N132-BLK 10.2-Inch Neoprene Sleeve (Pitch Black/Pitch Black) (Belkin is good brand; I also like the Built Built E-LS15-D07 13-15 Inch Laptop Sleeve (Dot No. 7) and HP HP NF869AA Mini Notebook Sleeve zip neoprene cases). Trust me, you need a Neoprene case because (i) most laptop slots are too large for a netbook and it will slide around inside and (ii) the TSA, despite their top-level rules and policies, still requires netbook removal through security and a Neoprene pouch comes in handy to protect the netbook. [Post Christmas update: The BEST netbook neoprene sleeve is Amazon's own Basics brand: AmazonBasics Netbook Bag with Handle, Fits 7- to 10-Inch Netbooks, iPad (Black) and the sub 12 dollar price - as of this review date - can't be beat.]B. You don't have to shop for a more efficient (less bulky) external power 110 volt cord since the adapter plugs right into the wall and the cord coming off it is a thin and light low voltage/low amps power cord. (You also don't need an international power converter since the power brick can take any standard international voltage; you may need a local "plug" adapter of course).C. You don't have to shop for more memory since there are no significant performance improvements if you add it.D. You don't need Win 7 Home Premium; it's just cosmetic bells and whistles for the most part. Win 7 Starter is the lean and mean operating system that Win XP used to be, but brought into the 21st century, and is even faster (imho) than Linux.E. You don't NEED an external DVD player, especially if you burn your disks on your desktop machine. IF you want to get one, this brand new model from Samsung is cheap and can be used directly as a player on a TV with USB input: Samsung USB 2.0 8x DVD Writer External Optical Drive for Mac and PC SE-S084D/TSBS (Gloss Black); I have the last model of this player and have this new one on order. It can write to dual layer DVD's according to it's specs, which makes backups a lot easier.F. A 16gb (the sweet price/capacity spot) SD card or USB thumb drive is very useful for transferring files from desktop to netbook and vice versa. You may have an older, lower capacity SD card from a camera you can recyle here. I strongly recommend an SD card over a thumb drive, if you are going to buy one, since it won't stick out as far from the side of the netbook case and is thus less likely to be torqued accidentally. Prices these days for an SD card by itself or a MicroSD card WITH the necessary adapter for use in the full-sized slot on this machine are so close that I recommend getting the MicroSD card, with adapter, so you can use it in more devices. (I broke my own rule by getting two 8gb Kingstons MicroSD's Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDC4/8GB so I could use one - in its "micro" state - for my music collection in a SanDisk Clip+ player.) I don't recommend buying anything less than 4gb these days, the price difference with 2gb sticks are so low these days it doesn't make sense.G. You don't need a second battery. Battery life is INSANE on netbooks, even on this dual core Atom (Intel JUST came out with this N550 which is designed for netbook, not nettop, use, it only consumes a bit more power than their single-core Atom).H. Yes, replace McAffee (slows the machine down) with FREE Avira or FREE Microsoft Security Essentials.I. Consider VLC as your personal video player. It handles more formats than Windows Media Player. Consider WINAmp as your music player if you encode your music in OGG Vorbis (Windows Media Player is a VERY user friendly experience if you want to encode in MP3 or Window's own WMA).J. YES, you can run iTunes on this. That's great. Linux can't, Android can't.So you see, this fine netbook is as defined by what you DON'T need as by what might be helpful. If it's Christmas, buy one for yourself and have fun setting it up while the kids are playing Angry Birds on their new iPod Touches....

5Beautiful and Gorgeous.
By Al
This product is very esthetically pleasing,The Sandstone finish has a very classy clean look. The performance of this product with the windows 7 starter was good,7 Starter is a great choice for people that arnt fussy with there themes or backgrounds,Basic starter doesnt give the ability to change backgrounds or color themes. There are softwares available that can do this for windows 7 starter. Multi tasking on this is terrific,I can play a 720p video with vlc player and still surf the web without a hickup.I did need to change a setting in vlc player to do this,But it was quite simple. I installed Ubuntu on this with no major issues,It didnt read the wifi card at first,But after updates and installing the driver with the Ubuntu driver tool ,everything works and it was quite easy to do. In Linux i can open two movies,,Thats rite 2 movies,Play solitaire and stream a youtube video on this. For a netbook,Thats quite impressive. Since i should post a fault or two,,My gripes would be that this is powerful enough for a full windows 7,,The Starter works well,But full 7 would just be better. To replace or upgrade ram isnt simple as removing a cover,There are 4 screws under keyboard,Then a hole to pop back panel off,,Not exactly hard to do,But not as easy as most. The ddr3 1 gig of ram is definitely enough ,But im a power hungry guy,So i installed a 2gig stick. This is my 4th netbook and arguably my best.

5Runs Like A Champ
By Moe Priell
I unboxed this motherboard, mounted in the case, installed 2GB of RAM, connected the cables and it fired right up.Very easy to setup this motherboard. I easily installed Windows XP SP3 from a DVD that I had burned then updated all of the drivers from the CD included with this mobo. Performance is snappy. Task Manager shows 4 CPUs.I have only had it up and running for a few hours but everything seems stable thus far. This is my second build using an Intel Atom mini-ITX combo. Very satisfied. I built my first one in a similar configuration almost 2 years ago. Both boxes use an Apex MI-008 mini-ITX case.Tip: Pick up some shorter SATA cables.Update after 1 week: Still running great. Web pages load in a snap. It even runs older pc games (circa 2000) with ease. Onboard video with Acer G205H Bbd 20-Inch Widescreen LCD Display (Black) looks fabulous.

5linux friendly
By Jason P
I have this board running my NAS and ushare under Ubuntu 10.04.1.No issues with drivers or anything and it works MUCH better for streaming than my windows 7 PC that consumed over 5x the power.I can't comment on the graphics however as I have the system headless and use webmin for remote administration.<>8 Months later and it's still kicking. It's on nearly 24/7 and there have been no issues whatsoever. (Electric bills have been friendly as well. my kill-a-watt has my current setup with this board running around 28 watts.

5Runs great!
By reimu
Setup was easy, the motherboard came with two SATA cables, so you don't need to buy any of those beforehand.Comes with a disk full of all the needed drivers so you don't need to download them all. This + a WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA drive scores 3.1 on Windows Experience Index - the bottleneck being the graphics (the CPU scores 3.5)

2surprisingly disappointed
By Ethel McGillicutty
First, I have always worn size 41 without difficulty. The design was exactly what I have been searching for. These boots were more like a size 39 and narrow, rather than 41 medium.Second, the distressed look appeared natural online, but when the ordered boots arrived, they looked like someone took black shoe polish and pressed it onto the toes and heel, along with several other spots, causing it too be too dark on the bone color. The leather is more like bonded Mexican leather than genuine Italian leather and very flimsy.I could not recommend the boots because they were at least two sizes too small and overkill on distressed appearance.

5My search is over!
By ASmith
I have been looking for the perfect black boots for months and I have finally found them! The leather on the boot's shaft is distressed and it almost looks dark gray, which works fine for me, but if you are looking for a "true" black, these boots are not for you. I have wide calves (16 1/2 inches) so I ordered a half size larger to be on the safe side. The boots fit perfectly- the toe is comfortable, they were very easy to get on and the boots accomodate my calves perfectly. I think I would have been fine to order my regular size, but these boots still fit great! The leather is soft, yet the shaft of the boot is firm enough that the boots stay put (they hit about 1 1/2 inches below the knee- I am 5'5) and don't bunch and gather at my ankles. These are truly beautiful boots- as well as very comfortable- well worth the price!

I love these boots. They are a little narrow in the toe, but they are soft and simple and a beautiful color (a soft light brown).
