Lots of height....and plenty of comfort

These are my 4th incarnation of the dreaded clog. Yes, my 4th...pair...of...clogs....When you hear the word "clog," you don't think "uber stylish," "cute" or heaven forbid "sexy" but I swear, I've heard all three with these shoes. Now granted, I do have a penchant for these Dutch creations but what's wrong with comfort..?? I graduated from real Dutch clogs (yeah, I admit, they are/were ugly), Crocs (yes, yes, they are quite unattractive but oh so comfortable), to Marc Jacob clogs (very cute but still practical), to Charles David clogs. It's been a style evolution for me.Let's break it down.The good: - COMFORTABLE. (Enough said.) - Good construction, sturdiness and stability of the shoe, despite the height. I'll kid you not, these are tall shoes (4.75" with a size 6 - whew!), but I have no issues walking in them at all, even though there is NO strap for the heel. The shoe is well made and it's well balanced. - Super cute styling.The bad: - I'm not big on the black leather on brown plastic/rubber sole. It's a mismatch in my mind, even though the brown is a dark brown. I would have much preferred a black sole.All in all, I LOVE these shoes and they are worth every penny. I wear them to work under long jeans and they're sleek. Whoever would have thought clogs could be sleek...?

Great Looking But...

Update: Received replacement bows in the mail today from Charles David and are very happy again about purchase. Thanks to the efforts of Jennifer from Charles David I will be looking to buy other items from this manufacturer in the future. Would have given them a 5 star rating but with the bow issue a 4 plus is all I can give. Thanks Jennifer!Got these shoes about two months ago and they are great looking but are cheaply made. Both the bows have fallen off and one I was able to glue back on, the other came off and is lost. I contacted Charles David directly to see if they could help and they wouldn't even bother to answer e-mails back. So now I'm stuck with a pair of worthless, mis-matched shoes. I would look elsewhere, especially if your planning on wearing these with pants/jeans. Mine were size 6 in Camel.

Casual. Sexy. Comfort.

I wanted shoes that were casual enough for distressed jeans and a sweater, yet still had some sex appeal. These clogs fit my needs: super cute, casual, platform for height, and easy to walk in. Because they are a clog, they have a wider toe bed and that means comfort and more secure walking. They are designed in a way that "hugs" your foot at the top, so that they will not fly off your foot if walking briskly; yet it's not too tight and doesn't rub. This was a great buy!
