The 970 I recently purchased easily overclocks to 4.11Ghz on stock air cooling. (Recommend additional cooling to extent processor life)Asus ROG Formula IV MBD, DDR3 1600 4Gx2 Win 7 64, Nvidia GTX460 Video card.

Matched this with MSI 890fx GD70 board and 16 gigs of patriot sector 5 ram and a XFX Radeon 6850 (soon to crossfire) and a 1000 watt psu. System runs very smooth and overclocks incredibly well!!

This thing is great for a building a budget CPU. Speed is blazing fastThe stock heatsink that comes with it is pretty loud, I switched over to a zalman 9700 and was able to get a stable overclock of 4.2ghz.I'd definitely recommend AMD products.
