Sensational Duvet Gorgeous And Humane!

This Duvet was a welcome surprise it's a sensational bed cover. Unlike most Duvet covers which I tend to not like this is heavy enough to be used on it's own. So there's no need to struggle with the quilt inside always shifting around and ending up at the bottom of the Duvet.Wonerfully made, with strong even seams and a metal zipper instead of those huge buttons that always open up and eventually fall off. The faux fur has a brilliant sheen and just the right height to the pile giving it a feel of silky softness. The lined pattern gives the duvet some loft and the silky underside is in the same color spectrum as the fur - so it looks just beautiful turned down.An especially nice touch is that this spread is oversized - really oversized! it reaches down to the side bed boards on our mammoth four poster and looks like a million bucks. Faux fur adds texture and movement to any room and I've always been partial to it. The materials used today are infinatley better, more realistic and the feel is sleek and superb. Why anyone would choose real fur is beyond me.We're an animal loving home and no one here would consider using any hide or fur from an animal that was slaughtered for the sake of vanity alone. Faux fur is a marvelous crulety free alternative and a guilt free indulgence. The shams are quite small - king size would have been nice but it's anything but a deal breaker. We left ours in the plastic case and packed them away.We bought a faux chinchilla throw in gray which will just cover the top of the bed.I tend to like a lot of weight as far as blankets are concerned, especially here in CT with below freezing tempertures and an old house that gets very cold. That said this duvet is so warm I find myself either pushing it off or taking our the blankets and quilt underneath so if you're wondering if this faux mink is warm I can assure you it may be all you need to stay toasty and comfy.We haven't experianced a single bit of shedding and couldn't be more pleased with this extraordinary value. The Duvet arrives in a nice quality double zippered plastic case - odor free and will be on your bed in two seconds. Just a terrific purchase.
