4Puts My Baby Boy to Sleep in an Instant
By Nuff Said
After I received and assembled this item, my baby started to love it. He loves listening to music and he easily falls asleep everytime I (or his mom) rock him gently in my/her arms. Why haven't I bought this earlier, let's say when he was about a month old?Because I had no idea that there is a swing like this that I can Fold and Stow Away. We are apartment dwellers and our unit is already cluttered with my baby boy's stuff. So after he's done with the swing, I just fold it and place it in the closet. Whoever thought of this is a genius.Assembly was pretty easy, took me 15 minutes. I suggest you ask your wife or somebody to help you to make it easier. It is sturdy, as long as you assemble it according to the manual and make sure every component is fitted tightly. The sound quality is great on this unit.I gave it four stars because it has no option for an AC adapter but aside from that I find nothing else wrong with it.I recommend it for parents with babies that always want to be carried and or cradled. This is indeed a life saver for me and the wife.

5Got us through "purple" crying--such a lifesaver!
By W. P. Voltz
If you're like me--a new parent who is on a budget and who researches *everything* before putting it on your registry--then I imagine you have the same criteria as I do for selecting a baby item. You probably want something safe, reliable, durable--and that doesn't drive you crazy with a whole bunch of useless, expensive bells and whistles. This swing is it. I checked out a bunch and after 2+ months of using it with my baby, I'm very happy with it. It has multiple speeds, two different sounds (water and a series of animatronic-sounding children's songs that play on repeat) and a cute mobile that hangs above. I also love that it has a five-point harness. The seat is well-contoured to an infant's body as well as an older child's (my little one is now 9 weeks and 10.5 lbs, and we've also had a 19 pound child in it--she loved it too). The seat is nicely padded. The fabric seems breathable (my baby tends to get sweaty in some of her other toys and carriers, but never in this one). It also easily wipes clean. The best thing of all? This swing (combined with Dr. Karp's Happiest Baby on the Block techniques) is saving our sanity during our baby's "purple" crying phase. When we've tried all the basics (feeding, burping, changing, holding) and she's still crying we put her in the swing and...bam! It's like baby magic. Literally within seconds her eyes are drooping and she's nodding off. I love it. She has swung in this for up to an hour at a time (and mom and dad have had actual adult dinners, taken showers, and worked out with the swing nearby). The battery use seems to be pretty judicious too...we've put a lot of miles on it in the past 9 weeks (up to two hours a day I'd say) and it's still going strong. As for the cons...they're not really enough for me to deduct a star from my review, but they are important to mention because I know not everybody is looking for the same exact things. As other reviewers have mentioned, the speeds aren't really that much different. Granted the highest setting definitely is faster than the lowest and all of them have been adequate for us. Second, the mobile is rather poorly balanced and does tend to slip back and make a clacking sound with each back and forth of the swing. Doesn't bother us though and the baby actually seems to enjoy it. And yes, this swing doesn't fold up all *that* small...about the height of a folding chair and a little bit wider (about the same width as our graco stroller give or take). It's fine in our 2-story home where we make infrequent trips with it up and down the stairs, but I don't think I'd want to take it in the car often or at all. So if that's your main need for the swing it might not be the best for you, but for use within the house it has been a lifesaver!BTW, I try to make my reviews as thorough as possible (especially for other sleep-deprived new parents:-). If you have any questions I haven't answered here don't hesitate to ask!

5Great swing
By makaio333
Swing is functional and does what it's suppose to do. the volume control is great and songs play for a while. the speeds do actually differ in speeds and you can tell the difference. safety harness is great and it was easy to put together. Son loves it!
