Great for anyone who wants extra protein without soy or whey!

Now Foods Pea Protein is available for about the same price as Amazon at my local regional health food store here in Colorado, although I have not seen it in Whole Foods. The price is much, much more reasonable than other quality protein powders I have seen. I'm a vegetarian who lifts pretty heavy weights on a regular basis, both alone and with a personal trainer, so I am always looking to improve the protein content of my diet in a healthy and wholesome manner without fake meats or other mystery foods. Now Foods Pea Protein fits the bill perfectly as it has about twice the grams of protein per serving compared to other plant-based supplements such as rice or hemp, and is right on par in terms of protein content with whey or egg white protein powders. I find it very easy to digest with no bloating, gas or unpleasant taste or aftertaste, unlike other protein supplements I have tried in the past. I did accidentally mix it with too little liquid the first time I prepared it and it was a little gritty, but nothing intolerable. I blend my protein shakes in a blender with almond milk, juice or a combo, and sometimes add frozen fruit so I have no complaints about the flavor. If you're trying to blend it with water, it probably wouldn't be great tasting, but I don't think it would be horrible either. I've given it a taste test by itself and it really is pretty tasteless but in a good way! No need to fear it tastes like peas or has some other weird flavor. Now Foods Pea Protein is a great, reasonably-priced option for those of us who are vegans or vegetarians; however, even if you do consume animal products, do yourself a favor and try this product. It's got to be far better for you and the same price or perhaps less than that bulk whey they sell at most of the discount stores and even nutrition stores with who knows what kind of additives and fillers.

This pea protein is great! It does not have much of a taste at all, so it hides well when mixed with your favorite fruits/soymilks, etc. for a smoothie. I've tried other brands of pea protein and it was torment just to get through one drink. This is the best thus far. ALso, it ONLY contains pea protein, no other funky ingredients that you can't pronounce and don't know what they do to you. Perfect for vegans, vegetarians, and everyone! I highly recommend this pea protein!
