Great Vest for Around the House!

I am very impressed by the quality and look of the vest. This vest is sturdy. Most vests I have purchased are nice looking, but tend to tear, especially around the weight pockets. There's no doubt that this vest will hold up to the weights. Also, they give you a generous amount of weights. Other vests usually only include 1-2lbs of weights, but this vest (sized 6) had 5lbs included. The weights themselves come in individual cloth velcro covers that can be removed for cleaning. All in all, this vest is sturdy, easy to clean, and comes with enough weights to provide the proper weight for the child (give or take a pound).I love the bright color of the vest, and the fact that it ties in the back. No velcro or snaps. It's easy on and easy off.It's a great "around the house" type of vest. I have a lot of "fancy" looking vests (demin, suade, different colors, etc) for my son to use when we go out so he doesn't "stand out," but I don't necessarily want him to use those vests when we are just at home or playing in the yard. This vest is more obviously a weighted vest then the others you might see on line, and for that reason I would not recommend wearing it at gatherings or on errands, least you want your child to feel uncomfortable and stand out. However, for around the house, and at times when I don't want to use the "out and about" vests, it's perfect. Just what I wanted it for.You also can't beat the price, espcially when you see the quality and the weights included.Another plus - It came shipped in a canvas bag, the kind you'd use in a grocery store, that says "Sensory Processing Products" on it. A little poem was attached to the bag about the uniqueness of SPD. I teared up when I saw it. The bag in and of itself is good quality and shows to me the care that is put into their products.If you want good quality for the price for an around the house type of vest, this is your vest.UPDATE: Since purchasing this vest, I have also used it as a lap weight for my son and it works great. It folds easier than a regular vest to be used on the lap. Just another way to use it!
