good but,

the features on this are great. but i really wish i wasnt the first to buy this. waiting a year or two would have been a smarter choice.the gps is the best thing you can put on your flasher!!! A++++ for this!but i went fishing with my buddy who was sporting the vexilar fl20-ish and his blew mine away. i couldnt even see my screen because of the interference. while his vex was clear as day with a push of a reset button. i tried everything (well i think, there are a million options in the menu that i monkeyed with).so the next few outings i went solo with the 385ci to see how it performs w/o the competition. i noticed i spent at least 1/2 a day each time just to reset all the options just to get all the clutter off the screen. and when i did get it cleared up, it was still not as clear and detailed as any vexilar that i have used.when you are marking you bait/jig on the screen it takes up almost 12" on your sonar, and when you clear it up to make it so its smaller, it barely if at all picks it up w/o moving your transducer around your hole or bait. which makes it very hard to try and mark a fish when they are hugging the bottom because you dont know where the bottom/bait/fish are.all in all its ok but i would look elsewhere for the serious fisherman. go buy a gps and a decent flasher over trying the combo.maybe its just me having these issues and if so post me a comment and let me know your experience!

Great Product

The sonar is identical to my buddies 345, but once I purchased the navionics card, I was ahead of the pack. The on-board GPS and navioncs option allows me to head straight to structure or depth I want to key in on. The chart plotter is useful when weather blows in, I can walk back on virtually the same path even when visibility is reduced. I really was wasting a lot of time all these years, blindly punching holes. The only draw back is the target separation at depth. Now, this could be my fault not entirely understanding how to fine tune this machine, but the specs say 6" target separation while I find it to be as much as 1' when the fish are hugging the bottom. All-in-all, a great product, and the best price I could find on the net.

Over-night fishing gear

I ordered this for an ice fishing trip I had coming up in two days. It came over-night from Tennessee to Minnesota! I was very satisfied with the product; it was just as described. The price, with overnight shipping was about the same as buying it at local stores. So, if I had ordered it sooner, it would have been much less than the store price. Thanks Amazon!
