Beautiful and Doesn't require a plumber

Love Moen. They make quality faucets sets and we've gradually been replacing the ones in our home with Moen as we redecorate-- which is to say as the old stuff has worn out. [Here's one we purchased for the upstairs bath: Moen T6125 Kingsley Two-Handle High Arc Bathroom Faucet without Valve, Chrome [Thus, you can imagine I was pleased as punch when this particular faucet came up for review.]INSTALLATION NOTES--Assembly was fairly easy. The hose sections were the easiest parts. If you look at the picture at the central (lower) assembly where the hoses come in, all you need to do is push that piece onto the nipple and push the clip in. No equipment needed!--AWKWARD! Less easy was the process of finalizing the installation of the faucet. This operation requires a 'special wrench' that Moen provides and which we are going to tape onto the cabinet, because Lord forbid you loose the thing, you'll never be able to remove the faucet from the cabinet. There are two holes, you see, at the back. One is threaded and one is not, and you need to use the drain-controller hole and the special super long Allen wrench to tighten the assembly.--Other than that there's the awkwardness of having to climb into the cabinet (if the cabinet is big, like ours is) to tighten the ring-thingies on the hot-and-cold tubes. They only need to be finger-tightened so you don't need any equipment except arms long enough to reach.APPEARANCE and FUNCTIONALITY--beautiful brushed nickel. The T6125BN has a simple design without extreme flourishes.--beautiful high arch. You can actually get your hands under the faucet and not have to crush them against the sink's bowl. This is really a good design.Lovely, but minus one star for the special tool requirement which had us turning the wrench quarter-turns for 15 minutes.Pam T~

***** Superb craftsmanship, very Luxurious look *****

Moen is well known for quality products, and this faucet is another example of that tradition. It combines the classic antique look with superb craftsmanship. The valves are made of solid brass, which should last for many years of trouble-free service; the two handles and the high arc spout are made of really heavy brushed nickel, which gives this traditionally styled faucet a very luxurious look and feel.It came in two separate boxes, one containing the valve and the other for the handles and spout, which you can order separately if you want to change only the faucet without the valve (Moen Part #T6125BN).Installation is a straight forward process with the clear, all illustrations instructions; it's no different than any other two-handle faucet.Well deserved FIVE stars all the way.

For a product like a faucet there are three aspects that are important: Appearance, Installation, and Functionality. As far as appearance, it is a TEN. This is truly a beautiful faucet (as beautiful as a faucet can be). Great brushed nickel finish (which is guaranteed not to tarnish) and wonderful design from the perfect arc for a bathroom sink and the just right size, sturdy handles. The design gives the feeling that this is a quality product that will last a lifetime. As far as installation, I would give it an another TEN. The two boxes come with everything you will need to install. Even for someone that isn't overly mechanical, this will not be a difficult job. Lastly, as for as function, one more TEN. There is nothing not to like about the way this faucet works. All of this adds up to . . . THIRTY, okay couldn't resist . . . it all adds up to one great product. The only thing I would like to see different is the price, it would be great to see the faucet come in below the $300 mark.
