By BoonW_SG
I first came across this pair of boots from the review at Military Moron.com so I decided to get them for the sandy, dusty, rocky, slippery slopes of Kilimanjaro and I must say it performed magnificently. They do not need a lot of running-in (as least for me) and very comfortable to put on. They are light and waterproofed as well. Buy a half size larger if you know you are going to wear super thick socks.

By bgraybeal
I have been a backpacker/hiker for 20 years. In that time, I have owned five pairs of boots; 3 pairs of Vasque (never again), a set of Merrells (good, but not Lowa), and now these Lowa Camino GTXs.I tend to have weak ankles, and have endured quite a few sprains and strains. For that reason, I wanted a pair of sturdy boots that would come up a little higher on my ankles.I am happy to report that these boots have been excellent for comfort, support, and durability. I am using them weekly with a 55 lb. pack, and have never felt unsteady or worried about injury. The boots are waterproof, the laces stay tied, and I would definitely recommend these to a friend.
