Best running shoe ever!

I have owned this shoe for over a year and it is the best running shoe I have ever owned. It has a great sole that works well on all kinds of surfaces.....dirt, grass, pavement, etc. The shoe is extremely light weight and offers a lot of support......not to mention it looks really cool. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

way to tight on sides of feet

I do not have wide feet at all and these shoes made it feel like I had the widest feet on the planet. I do have to say the shoe is constucted well and is built to last, but unless you have extemely skinny feet I would not purchase these shoes. I purchesed a pair of solomon xtslab5 and they are wonderful and feel like you are walking on air

I come from a bit of a "sneakerhead" background. A lot of shoes that I've worn looked great visually, but weren't comfortable for regular use. As I began to get into more fitness I wore mainly skateboard shoes, but switched to a pair of Nike Air Max. While they were pretty comfortable, I still had some issues with them and a lot of foot pain after a hike or run. In my plans to do a lot of hiking for a trip to Kauai, I purchased these Xterra XR 1.0 and their XT 2.0 shoes.My thoughts? Right out of the box the XR 1.0 felt perfect. After lacing them up I can only describe it was "walking on a coaster" meaning that I almost feel barefoot, but always on a stable surface. I went on a steep hike over the weekend and accidentally landed myself in some mountain lion territory. The shoes were able to handle the steep hike up and immediately back down with no issues. The terrain was dirt, grass, jagged rocks, etc. So far I have no pain in my feet at all. They're so comfortable that I actually haven't put on another pair of shoes since this past weekend. I wish they came in more neutral colors such as a black/grey/white that I could wear with more of my clothes. I HIGHLY recommend them if you plan to be doing any hiking, running or simply just want a comfortable pair of shoes.
