Bright and hot but...

I like this light and if you want something bright and cheap this will do the trick.Like many others mine creates a slight hum, if you don't use the dimmer and leave it at full power it will make less noise.Overall I like it and it is still very usable for video just don't leave it too close to the mic.UPDATE: The hum went away for some reason after use, now I don't hear it when I am on set and shooting.I can still hear a slight murmur from the light but not near what it was before.

Works great

The light itself is great, but when I attached thebarn doors to it, it kept burning through the gels. Now Im an amateur filmer, so I dont know if I assembled it wrong, if I shouldnt have had the lights as bright, but I installed them as designed. Maybe its not the fault of the light as much as it could be the design flaw of the barn doors. Ill still be using them. Great cheap alternative. Not cheap feeling at all.

This light is awesome. I love the variable control on output. The only drawback is that the light does have a pretty noticeable buzz/humm. It can be a nuisance for post production of audio. So far its been easy to remove in post though.
