Great Right out of the package

I did my 'due diligence' as well as consulting with Range Masters and Spec Ops people. These were recommended for my Armalite SPR MOD 1. I Watched a Youtube video for installation procedures. Installed them and shot 100 rounds through my weapon. Rear sight was right on, certered on mass of target. Front sight was high and will require adjustment. Unable to adjust using a multi tool so we left it as is until next range date. Ordered a Troy front sight adjustment tool from Amazon. Nothing wrong with the sight, it is just so precisely made that you will need the tool to avoid scratching it. For the price, Troy could or should include the tool as part of the package. Color me pleased and very happy with these sights. I was correctly advised to place these first and then add me Aimpoint Patrol PRO. I would recommend this sight to all. But, order the adjustment tool at the same time.

FINALLY GOT TO THE RANGE TO TEST THESE SIGHTS. I'M VERY PLEASED. I DONT KNOW IF THE SIGHTS ARE JUST GREAT OR THE RIFLE IS THAT ACCURATE. NO REAL AJUSTMENT WAS NEEDED TO SIGHT IN. THEY FOLD DOWN VERY CLOSE TO THE RAIL AND ARE MUCH SMALLER THAN SOME OTHER SIGHTS THAT ARE MADE SIMILAR TO THESE. IF YOU HAVE AN AR15 THERE ARE NO OTHER SIGHTS TO BUY. GREAT MUST HAVE.

As we learn how to shoot, the most important lesson is the ability to shoot with iron sights. For this reason, I researched for about 2 weeks, various video reviews and online reviews. While these sights where not reviewed often, what I did find was many big name mfg. of high-end AR systems would use these type sights. Great price for the pair made it even easier. Install was simple, little bit of 'blue loc-tite' and it was done.On my first sighting I was using federal 55 grain fmj rounds, I followed 1 simple instruction, mechanical sight for zero, raised the front sight until the base of the sight was flush with the mount. First three shots where high left about 1 inch at 25 yards. After about another fifteen rounds, I was still just high, but that's because I was turning the front site the wrong way. Since I haven't been shooting for about 20 years, I figure that's not too bad. Will be going out again in few weeks, should have my grouping down to under 1" at 25 yards in no time. Military has an 18 round to zero requirement, as I said, you can never beat an iron sight when the batteries run out;))
