These kettles are made from 18 gauge polished stainless steel. Perfect for the brewer on a budget! These kettles are very similar in quality and weight to the 30qt Polarware kettles except they are polished instead of brushed and they hold 2 qt more.

Good kettle, but the lid is aluminum, not stainless steel

Just a good, solid brew kettle. The only beef I have is that the lid isn't stainless. It's brushed aluminum. It still fits, but it doesn't match the kettle. Packaging was adequate. Shipping was slow and it didn't come in the estimated time frame as it came from China through Canada to the U.S.

Brew Pot - It certainly leaks

Price is excellent, but you get what you pay for. I had read the other reviews and figured I would have a leak as well. Sure enough I did. However my leak was not solved by some Teflon tape and a wrench. I waited until brewing day to test/fix the pot, my mistake, as I was ready to go all set up, except the pot. To correct my leak, I had to buy new o-rings and grind down the the hole edges smooth. This was done only for the thermometer, as the valve did not leak. After all the extra finishing, which should have been done by the manufacture, I had a non-leaking pot and brewed a nice stout (I hope anyway - time will tell).

Leaks

Tje kettle leaked out of the holes where handles are welded in. Ran down sides constantly and pooled under kettle making popping sounds burning. Had to take liquid level below handles. Poorly made.
