The smallest guitar in the Iberia series, Cordoba's 1/8 size Requinto 480 guitar is handmade with a solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The hand-inlaid all-natural wood rosette and Indian rosewood detailing distinguishes this model from other guitars in this price range. It is designed with the traditional 5-fan Torres style bracing to produce a rich Spanish sound in spite of its diminutive string length. Ideal for children learning how to play nylon string guitars.

Perfect guitar for little hands!

I love this guitar! I am a very tiny adult with hands about the size of a 7-year-old. I can barely reach an octave on the piano and even that is a stretch. I ordered this guitar because I want to learn to play classical guitar and in that musical genre it is difficult to "cheat" by leaving the lower strings out of the chord.When the guitar arrived I was very impressed by the quality of workmanship. Even the gig bag is a nice padded one. Does this guitar have all of the rich deep resonance of one with a full-size body? Well, no. You wouldn't expect it to, really - it's a matter of physics. Is it a lovely guitar with a lovely tone? Resoundingly, yes. I would be proud to play it anywhere and I am a professional musician.I just ordered a second Requinto 1/8 size guitar for my 6-year-old grandson's birthday. Thankfully, he has inherited "full-size" genes from his dad so his hands are just about the same size as mine. He has already played my Requinto and it fits his hands quite nicely. I expect he is going to love learning to play his new guitar, especially now that he won't have to struggle with learning on an instrument that is too big for him.
