Glad to go with US Automatic

I almost made the mistake of going with a Mighty Mule and was just about to purchase one when I checked the reviews and noticed horrible feedback on them. The deal breaker was that my neighbor had installed one a few months back and as I drove by his house I saw his opener hanging by zip ties to his fence. Needless to say, I went ahead and got the US Automatic despite the $300 price difference. Boy am I glad I did. The whole system looks twice as beefy as the neighbors broken Mighty Mule. The keypad is only for visitors as the gate is 1/4 mile from the house. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, open and close the gate! Needless to say, my neighbor is trying to get his money back and step up to american built quality that actually works. Dont be a cheap skate and skimp on your opener, buy the good one the first time and save money, headaches and frustration. I am sure glad I did.

WORKS WELL FOR PRICE

Sometimes I have to punch the code in twice, but basically works well. Wasnt barnd new, but still had original packaging taped closed. Dont knwo if it was ever used? In any case I paid less thatn half price of a new one and am very pleased with it.

Failed after 6m...

6m after we purchased the system this thing failed. It will not operate the gate anymore, instead it will start opening and then quick after that it will stop.US automatic wants me to pay for return shipping to have it inspected, not something I normally do with everybody else. Now trying to decide if I should do that or just buy a new one.It's a pity the quality is going down so fast here...
