Sentry Photo EyeProtect objects from being damaged by a closing Sentry Automatic Gate.The photo eye is a secondary safety device. It produces a beam between the 2 units and when the beam is broken, it will prevent the gate from closing. It requires wires to be connected to both units (20 gauge) for operation. Good for gate safety

Since the gate does have built in mechanics to reopen if it comes into contact with anything, you could probably do without these, but to be extra safe, they do work as promised. A little bit of work to install, and needs lots of wiring not included.
