Good variable speed grinder

This is actually a nice quality grinder for a practically no name brand. The fit and finish is good. It is probably worth the price they're asking. I bought it because of the adjustable speed, as I had to polish some marble, which requires lower rpms. The adjustable speed works well enough, though it doesn't keep a constant rpm under load. Soft start gives it a bit more of that quality feel. It's quieter than my crappy old Kawasaki that I can now throw in the garbage, but still not as quiet as I think it could be. The gear box still has a lot of play in it that causes that characteristic loud clacking sound. Maybe there's a reason for that, I haven't tried higher quality grinders. But it works, and I love the compact size.
