Our Super Soft Lambswool Throw is made from a finer grade of Lambswool to create softer version of our standard Lambswool Throws. The rug is suitable for lighter use on sofas and in Bedrooms. This clan held extensive lands in the Western Isles and mainland of the Highlands. They claim descent from Gillean of the Battle Axe, who lived during the reign of King Alexander III. The MacLeans followed the MacDonalds, Lords of the Isles, and fought at the Battle of Harlaw in 1411. They became powerful, but declined in influence in the 16th century. They were Royalists and supported the Royal Stuarts. In 1632 Lachlan MacLean of Morven was created a Baronet. At the Battle of Inverkeithing seven MacLeans, all brothers, died trying to protect their chief. As each fell he called, "Another for Hector". Badge - Crowberry.

Delightfully Soft, Cozy and Oh so Lovely!

A few years ago my spouse was stuck recuperating for a couple of weeks so I picked up a "care package" that happened to include a soft throw. That was the beginning of a new tradition in our household...we both realized how utterly inviting and comfortable a nice throw can be! Now they are scattered here and there throughout the house...something we both enjoy as well as our company which constantly remark how 'homey' our place feels.So, the original old throw has now seen better days but I wanted to replace it with something traditional that would fit into any setting yet remain attractive. When I saw this it seemed like the perfect replacement. I'm thrilled to say it doesn't disappoint. Made of lambswool, this is ultra soft not scratchy like standard wool. Thankfully it also is totally void of that peculiar odor often associated with some wools. The appearance is quite traditional in nature but fits perfectly anywhere as it is sized right and inviting. Weight is just right - not overly heavy but substantial enough to feel that you are covered. Ditto for the sizing. Weave is nice and tight.Very pleased with this purchase! Makes a delightful addition to any room and will never go out of style thanks to the classic design. GREAT gift giving idea!
