This unit comes with a no accessories, you'll need an adapter tray to fit like the SILVERSTONE SDP08 to fit your computer case.If you are upgrading a notebook/netbook you won't need anything but the drive.Wanted to increase the performance on a netbook from the conventional 160gb.Performance is very good, even on the low powered Atom NetbookLinear Read Middle : 123.5MB/s, Random Read : 127.3MB/s, Buffered Read : 123.3MB/sec, Average Read Access: 0.12 msWhat really makes it scream is when its connected to a more updated desktop computer with ICH10 chipsetLinear Read Middle : 235.7MB/s, Random Read : 267.6MB/s, Buffered Read : 235.5MB/sec, Average Read Access: 0.06 msThese numbers better than my X25-M Intel 160gb SSD, my Kingston 128gb SSDNOW, and my Crucial 256GB M225 SSD.40gb and 60gb performanced the same. Both using the 340 Firmware. Currently recommending these units for all my installs/upgrades.

At least twice as fast as a standard drive. Faster than my RAID setup with two Samsung Spinpoint F3 drives. 40 gigs is just big enough for Windows 7 and a few programs. For the price, it's almost a no brainer. It's probably the single most effective upgrade you can make if you aren't using a SSD already. If you have a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P motherboard like I do, Windows won't install on it unless you disable SMART monitoring in BIOS. At least until a new BIOS is released (I have F14k installed). This might work for other Gigabyte boards as well. Make sure you enable AHCI too. After Windows is installed, load all of your drivers EXCEPT for the AHCI driver (Intel Rapid Storage), then run Mushkin's firmware update utility (available on their website). Run it with administrative rights or it won't find your drive. After that you can install the Intel AHCI driver. Then run the Windows Experience Index assessment. Windows will change some settings automatically to accomadate the SSD.

Using this as an OS boot drive for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.Loads incredibly fast and smooth (about 20-ish seconds)Rated 7.2 index score as of 11/1/2010Pro: - Fast - Build quality - Price (Bought @ $99)Con: - Does not include 3.5 to 2.5 adapter!? - Small 40GB space (Shows as 37.1GB on my system)Final Thoughts:I only recommend this as a boot drive. If you want to use this as a primary, possibly only a system for business (email, docs, etc...) netbook/laptop
