Diamond Dash Parka (in Upstate NY)

I love my new Black Diamond Dash Parka! I was a bit hesitant buying this jacket over the net but I got such a good deal and I had read soooo many great reviews, that I felt it was worth the risk. I love all the pockets and extra features it has! This jacket is much lighter then other interchangeable jackets that I have owned before but it is WARM! I got a size large so I could wear a hoodie under the jacket (which I get too warm if I do)so its a bit baggie. I am normally a size med. and if I had gotten that size it would have been true to my normal size! I love the "monkey thumbs"! I have long arms and the "monkey thumbs" make it so my sleeves are not hiking up my arm when Im active and it really helps keep the snow out! Well back to shoveling. We are having a 30" snow storm up here in Upstate NY, as I type ;) Enjoy your new jacket!

My wife loves this jacket. It's warm, fits well, and versatile. She bought it primarily for skiing but uses it when we travel because it is a 3 in 1. The only con to me about this jacket is that the inner jacket does not zip into the outer shell like most 3 in 1 combos.

I was looking for three things in a winter jacket - warm, water-repellent, and not too bulky. This liner-shell combo fit the bill perfectly, while adding some neat features like the removable hood, thumb holes, cooling underarm zippers, and plenty of zippered storage. I am short but stocky and usually wear a petite 10. I ordered the medium in black with the raspberry liner and it fits very well, though the arms are a bit too long for me. No problem, I roll up the sleeves on the shell an inch (the cuffs are velcro-adjustable--there are a number of adjustments via zipper, velcro, and elastic pull cords all over both shell and liner). The Omni-heat liner in the inner jacket is very soft, while the shell collar is lined with plush fabric. Overall, the jacket is very comfortable and really warm without being at all bulky. The water-repellency is nice, too. The only downside for me is that the zippers are a little difficult to work (the teeth are tight I suppose to keep the water out), and I'd prefer the inner jacket be in a more conservative color. But overall, I like this jacket very much.
