Sure is anise oil

One of the bottles came to me with the lid slightly askew. An insignificant amount of the oil had leaked out because of it, but everything smelled like licorice for forever after. Whatever the problem was with the lid, it made dispensing the oil a little difficult (it wanted to leak out in between the bottle and the regulator thing). I had a wintergreen oil bottle from them too that had a missing regulator thing, so I don't know if this is just a manufacturing thing with NOW or what. Their oils seem perfect, though, so as long as you're prepared to use a dropper or some other method for getting the oil out, it's a great deal.

Strong!

I ordered this to make Easter Bread this year because I missed my gramma's making it; she no longer bakes and lives so far from us. The anise oil that she always used smelled so strong that I wasn't sure I would find another like it. This oil is exactly like what she used to use.I do recommend this product because of its potency and pure flavor. Be forewarned to use a little under what your recipe calls for the first time you bake or cook. If you overdo it, then your dish will taste like nothing but anise oil.
